CAMERON RIVER – The body of a 26 year old Nanaimo kayaker has been recovered from the banks of the Cameron River just outside of Port Alberni. Joseph’s Coffee House opened after the HST came into effect. The owner says she hasn’t raised her prices since but will April 1st 2013. She feels her customers won’t mind as the price they will pay will be the same in the end. Continue reading

Tsunami Debris In Juan de Fuca Strait


It appears the wave of Japanese tsunami debris is making its way further inland.

Officials in Washington State are seeing many more items washing ashore. Most of it fishing gear. But it is what could be floating into the Juan de Fuca Straight next that has them worried.
