Now Broadcasting in HD!

When High-Definition programming is available*, CTV Vancouver Island will be broadcasting it!

The switch to digital broadcasting happened today for stations across Canada, including CTV Vancouver Island (CIVI). You can still watch our original standard definition broadcast on Shaw Cable channel 12. Our new HD channel is Shaw 216.

Our Over-The-Air signal is now only available in digital High-Definition on channel 23 in Greater Victoria, and channel 17 in Greater Vancouver.

Our channel remains the same on other cable and satellite systems, not yet in HD:
• Bell TV – Channel 256
• Shaw Direct (Classic) – Channel 389
• Shaw Direct (Advanced) – Channel 8
• Telus TV – Channel 12
• Delta Cable – Channel 12
• Seaview Cable – Channel 13
• Ukee Cable – Channel 41
• Keta Cable (Port Hardy/Port McNeill) – Channel 4
• Keta Cable (Alert Bay) – Channel 389
• Rogers Cable (Ontario) – Channel 138

*Our local production (C-FAX Live, CTV News at 5, CTV News at 6, Vancouver Island Report, and CTV News at 11) will remain in standard-definition at this time, but daytime and primetime national and international programming that is produced in high-definition will be available for viewing in high-definition (as well as in standard-definition on the appropriate channels).
