Reporter / Videographer

Erin is a Reporter and Videographer for CTV News on Vancouver Island.

She was lucky enough to be born and raised here, on a farm in Saanichton, with three siblings. But it wasn’t long after high school that she moved to Toronto to pursue her broadcasting ambitions. Attending Ryerson University, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television.

Calgary, Vancouver, and Medicine Hat all provided valuable work experience stops before she finally came full-circle back to the capital in 2010, joining CTV News — a turn of events which may or may not have had something to do with a bribe batch of Dutch Bakery cookies.

Erin relishes the connections she has with old ties and makes with new acquaintances through her reporting. She believes storytelling on Vancouver Island takes a unique approach, one where a familiar hand helps immensely.

With a passion for both news and sports, there’s never a dull moment, and she continues to learn the ropes in this ever-changing industry.

Extracurricular:
In her spare time, Erin can be found close her family and friends, strolling on Dallas Road with her dog, or running the many happy trails around the region.
